Large Aluminum Chimes

Made from 1/16" thick 2" diameter aluminum pipe, these chimes are ~5' in length. Pipes are internally suspended (hang point is 22.42% from end). The PVC strikers hit the center of each pipe. Pipes are suspended from an aluminum base plate via 300 lb. dacron cord with copper crimps and stainless steel rings. The wind catcher is aluminum sheet. These chimes make the loudest, most-resonating sounds; pipe length is optimal for the diameter and material. Sounds are amazing, and resonate for 20 seconds or longer - even with Voodoo guy standing on a perforated plate (some sound is not reflected back to the listener). Voodoo guy's head is made from InstaMorph; his body is made from sticks and Spanish moss.
